Who is hosting this?

How's it going, y'all? It's Wilson again with another basic post on affiliate marketing!

Like I told you before, website hosting is the topic of discussion for today.

Webhosting is very cheap nowadays, you can get an average host for as little as $3 and they're pretty much reliable.

What matters the most is getting some freebies that help you get the most of it. Y'know, the usual "more thrash for less cash". ;-)~

But there's nothing thrashy in getting stuff like free advertising credits, link-builders and scripts.

What are all these? Let's take a look:

HOSTING

A website hosting service is the computer that will store your files, meaning, the actual content people will see when they type in your domain name.

If you don't have a website ready to go, it's FINE! Don't worry about it.

Your major concern now is a hosting service that provides you with....

  • cPanel

cPanel is a Control Panel (Insert "You don't say" GIF here) that allows you to build your site from scratch in case you don't know how to.

Every section has a video tutorial so you don't get lost. You need cPanel to get this going, but I don't mean right now! This is just to show you what you're gonna have to deal with in the near future.

It has other features too but that isn't worth going through.

The utility you'll work on through cPanel is called Softaculous Script Auto-Installer.
You'll be able to install, say..., a WordPress site with it.

  • Unlimited Disk Space
Whether your site will be something small or big, it's an unknown. You mind as well have extra disk space on the host's hard drive you don't use than finding yourself deleting old backup copies to save on space.

This isn't usually a problem on new sites, because they don't really have that much content but don't settle for anything less than that.

  • Unlimited Bandwidth
Now this is something you can't relinquish. Take a look at my bandwidth usage:

Were at day 12 and I already used up almost 1.5 GB of bandwidth! And this is because I haven't uploaded new pages to my main site because I know for sure I already had this usage during the first 7 days of the month!

Although new domains don't get a lot of hits in the first months of their life, in case you pretend to add a lot of images, host your own videos, etc., see to it that
bandwidth isn't a problem.

But do note; by "unlimited" they mean within acceptable use. You can't use their servers for file storage and sharing. Accounts without an index.htm(l) or index.php (the main page) get quickly suspended.

If your webhosting account imposes bandwidth limits, when you reach it, you and your audience will get an error saying that your bandwidth limit has been exceeded and they'll leave your site.

That means you're losing potential costumers which sucks, right?

At least for me, these are the most important things. Up until know we've been talking about tech stuff but there's just one more thing we need to see before starting the money-making machinery (good keyword, eh?), so I HOPE you already chose your niche...

I'll be signing off for now! You know you can contact me on Facebook or through email via support@triplestrata.com

Laterz ;-)~
