[SOCIAL] YAHOO featuring... YOU!

If you want a good laugh then click here. It's amazingly funny if you read the whole thing!

This is another post that shows you how to get targeted traffic to your site. I'll keep it short because I gotta get going. ;-)

There some Q&A sites right? Like YAHOO Answers and Quora for example.

Basically, you get points or rep by accurately answering questions other people ask and, if available, lead them to the source of the information you've just used to let the person who asked the question know where you found it.

You should start by answering questions about stuff you know about, the niche you're working on. Obviously, that won't get you any traffic alone, but you can point the source of information wherever you want.

So, why not be that source?? ;-D

To be crystal clear let's say there's someone who wants to know about... weight loss (a hot topic, I think...) and they ask what's the healthiest way to lose weight quickly.

Let's say your blog is about just that but you don't have any specific post to that question.
Take a few minutes to write a good article that answers his/her question and also leads them to other pages on your blog.

What can help is put text links like Wikipedia does, it considerably increases click-through rate.
See note below

Then, after writing that article, go to the site and post an excerpt of what you just wrote and, in the source, put in the link to the article you wrote.

Usually, they are already interested in what other people have to say, otherwise they would not have asked the question at all, and they are much more likely to click your link and view it. Maybe even share it if you have a killer article. Makes sense.

If you do this in a frequent basis, you are bound to get a good traffic and perhaps a backlink to your site.

This is because the link will always be there for as long as the thread is active and people might wanna link to your site.

Just make sure there's nothing too obvious that indicates you own the site. In YAHOO they can tell that easily but it still works there.

It's free, you are increasing your website's content without even having to come up with something to write about and you'll get traffic.

This is on many of the "XX Amount Of Ways To Get More Website Traffic" types of post, but they rarely go any deeper than just putting a quick description but this right here is clearer for you.

Get working on it and include your signature too, to brand yourself and attack from all ends.

Happy Q&A'ing

P.S.: A proof that in-text links work is that that I got yet a referral through another blog post.
Not only it proves that but also that by blogging frequently is the only way to get sales too, rather than placing a bunch of banners in static pages.
