Top 7 Ways to Earn Money This Summer!

Lovely weekend here in Lisbon. It's warm and sunny! :-D

How are things in your end, boys and girls? Hope you too are enjoying yourself, wherever you are!

Hey, speaking of warm and sunny, which is when people start going outside, to beaches and such, why not make use of that to earn money?

I've been trying that... and it's working great!
There's a lot to gain offline if you try it out and I'm gonna share with you how you can earn a few honest bucks and make the most of this Summer.

Get your butt out of the couch, turn off your computer and work on these cool (as in ice-cold!) ways to earn money and chill out your customers! x-D

1 - Sell bottled water
Water is the cheapest thing (besides plastic bags) you can buy and resell and it plain works. You can get around 8 bottles of 50cl (17oz) for less than a dollar. Stuff them in your fridge and when they're iced up go to wherever is dry and sell them for half a buck.
You can sell them for higher than that but people usually feel more tempted if you provide them a "discounted" price. I've tried selling in beaches but most people are already prepared. Do try it anyways, maybe you'll do better than I.
Within cities is also a good starting point. Hey, I made almost $9 in 2 days and I didn't bring with me that many bottles. If you do, you'll kick ass!

2 - Car washing
This is not just a chore, you can even call in your friends to help out and have a good time together while putting some money in your pocket.

Right on the other side of the street of my apartment, there's an "improvised" car-wash station. It's just a garage modified to have all cleaning supplies. Why not try something yourself like that?

3 - Pet sitting
Something that's increasing a lot these days is dog walking. It's easy and doesn't need you to put in a lot of effort.
I never tried it [because I hate pets in general] but there are a lot of folks around me who'd be willing to pay for someone to take care of their animals.

4 - Yard work
Great for Youngsters! Go and ask people from door to door if they need someone to mow their lawn, pull out weeds cleaning the yard itself and some other stuff.

5 - Sell your junk
And of course, there's always the typical direct selling! You can always sell online yes, but try also give it a try to an old-fashion garage sale! You'll have a lot of people coming into your house and you can always leverage that not only to sell but also to...

6 - Start a barbecue
Keep everything: for meat lovers and vegans. Something for everyone. Your neighbours will enjoy it and will increase your popularity!

7 - Rent your Garage
Make it cheap so you can have more customers. If you have space for more than one car, well, needles is to say that you'll earn more money! ;-)

That's a good list in and of itself, but why stop there? You can always make these gigs work for you online.

For example, before you sell the bottled water, print out a few personalized labels with your website's link or another reference to your products, work with a branded shirt with your URL and strap a gift card to the stuff you're selling.

Some people will notice, others will ask questions about it and all of that can be used to your online business and make you money from the real world to the virtual world.

If you're high and dry for cash, better get started on any of these so you can revert that situation.

Happy Holidays!
Wilson.
